Since our establishment in 1983, we have continued to grow through recruiting and developing talented people to perform these roles. We are presently looking for an experienced Administrator who has had exposure to ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, in particular IFS.
Based at our Hixon Head office, you will make an important contribution using your IT and general admin skills to support our busy transport operations department.
Our work is varied and every project has its unique challenges, so your flexibility, problem solving skills and communication skills will all be important.
Assistance with routing documentation (i.e. Special order / VR1 applications, recording of street furniture invoices / special orders etc)
Assistance with pulling together drivers information packs (ie. Routes, RAMS, HSQE documentation)
Assistance with transport documentation (i.e. chasing of outstanding purchase orders, Proof of deliveries and recording of invoices.
Receive / record tachographs & send for analysis
Assistance with training documentation (i.e. updating of register / recording of certificates, completion of security vetting forms etc)
Raising of purchase orders using IFS database system
Booking of hire cars & raising of purchase orders using IFS Database System.
Receive / action of DHL requests & checking of invoices
Receive / action of fuel card requests & ordering of bulk fuel
Scanning / recording of driving licences for personnel
Receive / raise purchase orders for operational / workshop & HSQE personnel using IFS database system
Raising of purchases orders for utilities (i.e. plumbers, heating engineers etc) using IFS Database System
Booking waste collections + raising of purchase orders using IFS Database System
Ferry bookings for standard trailers / personnel + Raising of purchase orders using IFS Database System
General office administration including use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, Filing, Telephone work.
The Ideal Candidate
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE - DESIREABLE
- NVQ/BTEC in business administration or similar OR A-levels
EXPERIENCE - ESSENTIAL
- Minimum of 3 years experience in similar administration role
- Experience of an ERP system (preferably IFS)
EXPERIENCE - DESIREABLE
- Familiar with heavylift / transport sector
SKILLS - ESSENTIAL
- MS Excel, MS Word & Good general Computer Skills
- Excellent telephone manner

- Driving licence and own transport due to our office location
