Crane Technician

Job Introduction

ALE are seeking  technicians experienced in mobile and crawler crane repairs and maintenance for our  site based crane and transport fleet.  Local candidates are preferred but we are also accepting applications from FIFO candidates.

Role Responsibility

Servicing and repairs to site crane and transport  fleet

Ordering parts and arranging external  maintenance support

Supervision of apprentice 

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic with valid documentation
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic drawings
  • Experience in repairing mobile and crawler cranes
  • Computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of local suppliers
  • Knowledge of legislation in terms of inspections and maintenance
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in dealing with cranes and heavy equipment
  • Hydraulics experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Team leading skills and experience
