Finance Manager

Job Introduction

ALE Taiwan is a newly established business which is part of the ALE Group. The business works predominately in the Renewables, Oil, Gas and Mining Sectors. The finance manager is the owner of all internal and external information reporting for the business unit including all financial & taxation controls and all reporting in line with the timetable, group policy and local regulations.

With multiple experiences in financial accounting, you will have excellent supervisory skills, strong software knowledge and be detail oriented. Your effective communication links with the commercial and operational managers will support their objectives of growing the business within the agreed control environment.

Always demonstrating best management practice, the ideal candidate will also be up to date with current regulations affecting the industry, and knowledgeable about company procedures and compliance issues.

Role Responsibility

  • Ensure integrity & accuracy of financial information
  • Financial month end process & reporting
  • Assist with new finance system implementation
  • Budgeting and accounting for projects and completing variance analysis
  • Timely & accurate preparation of management reports.
  • External compliance & reporting – VAT, WHT
  • Supply and coordinate information to external auditors
  • Supply information to internal auditors
  • Supply and coordinate information for Statutory Accounts & Tax Returns
  • Maintain integrity of General Ledger & sub-ledgers
  • Reconciliation of all General Ledger accounts
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
  • Managing the finance team

The Ideal Candidate



  • Qualified Accountant (CA or CPA)



  • Employment law and corporate structure
  • Taxation



  • Proven project accounting experience ideally in a similar industry
  • Knowledge of financial controls, & reporting within a large group
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Leading a team


  • Working in an international, multi-branch team across different countries



  • Excellent communication skills – Fluent verbal and written in English and Taiwanese
  • Advanced Excel Skills.
  • Good reconciliation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative as well as work as a member of a team.



  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Organised and self-motivated with effective time management skills and adaptability to maintain work output during times of pressure and deadlines.


  • Self-starter, enthusiastic about the business who can support the commercial and operational leads within a prescribed control environment



  • Current valid driving licence
  • Valid passport


  • Visa if required
