Sales Manager Wind Services

Job Introduction

ALE’s continued development and position within the renewables and particularly the wind industry, has been to date sporadic and concentrated on only a small number of locations. It has become clear that the need to globalize and expand ALE in this sector is essential to achieving real bottom line growth.

Central to ALE Wind Services division development is the role of Sales Manager Wind. The Sales Manager Wind will play a vital role in helping to ensure that the division will continue its growth and be developed globally.

The main objective is to drive and manage all sales activities throughout the division on a global basis.

In addition the role will be managing key topics like client development and support, use existing client relationships to promote ALE wind services and establishment of new market opportunities in the wind industry.

You will be an experienced sales person with an understanding of the global wind industry.  You will enjoy both communicating with clients and helping them to solve problems. 

You will have the drive and self-confidence to hunt out opportunities in various parts of the world, and then the tenacity to turn them into sales.

Role Responsibility

  • Overall responsibility for all sales activities for ALE Wind Services globally
  • Promote and establish positively client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide support, advice and leadership on all aspects of sales performance
  • Liaise with other ALE businesses and strengthen the integration of the ALE wind division
  • Establish business and sales road map in cooperation with management team
  • Business development responsibility based on sound sales strategy
  • Create sales documentation and reporting system
  • Plan, develop and implement innovative strategies that ensure attainment of company sales goals, budgets and profitability.
  • Liaise with other departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of the wider groups sales and to ensure they are fully supported and consistent with the division's strategy.
  • Seeking out new customers, markets and business opportunities.  Complete research and undertake prospecting activity
  • Working to a planned schedule, to meet with new and prospective clients to establish and build relationships, develop and maintain networks, and seek opportunities to support clients
  • Prepare and co-ordinate quotations and proposals for contracts. Ensure correct interpretation of contract terms and conditions.
  • Reporting of all sales activity for the region on a timely and accurate basis into Customer Relationship Management System (Microsoft Dynamics)

Familiar with renewable energy market, especially wind

Commercial experience in renewables markets, especially wind
