Team Leader International Offshore and Onshore projects

Job Introduction

As the team leader you are part of the project team that is responsible for the preparation and execution of projects that take place on onshore and offshore locations. Your primary role will be overseeing and preparing for the lifting of heavy items in accordance with the local regulations and in a safe and efficient manner.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills further. Whilst prior experience is an advantage, full training will be given prior to undertaking operations.

No projects are the same, and project sites will be at a number of destinations both nationally and internationally. 

Your future could follow a number of paths – you could be a Construction Manager or move over to other areas within our business, including R&D Engineer, Project engineer, Project Management or Sales

Role Responsibility

  • Overseeing and executing Lifting and rigging Operations
  • Rope Access work
  • Assembly work
  • Preparation of projects
  • Site visits at clients
  • Inspection of equipment
  • Notice abnormalities and report these to the Manager Construction or Project Manager. Identify and report unsafe situations, (near) accidents and incidents. Progress report daily.
  • In situations where staff is hired, Team Leaders have the function of prevention employees aiming to monitor safe operation of hired staff
  • Adherence to agreements, rules, regulations and procedures of both Conbit as the customer.
  • Support the creating of JSA’s
  • Involvement in Hazid meetings
  • Organize toolbox meetings
  • Execution of LMRA

The Ideal Candidate



  • HUET
  • IRATA qualification
  • Certificate VCA-VOL


  • Qualified Fork Lift operator
  • OPITO Rigger
  • Banksman



  • Excellent oral and written English skills
  • Knowledge of tools, equipment
  • Standard industry health and safety requirements


  • Excellent oral and written Dutch skills
  • Knowledge of lifting methods, cables, winches and control methodologies.



  • Work experience with mechanical equipment



  • Experience in onshore and offshore projects
  • Work experience with hydraulic and/or electrical equipment



  • Being a team player


  • Clear understanding of the relevant equipment and its use



  • Being very flexible
  • Able to learn new techniques and procedures
  • Confidence


  • Proactive
  • Stress resistance



  • Willing to travel and work nationally and internationally for extensive periods
  • Driving license
  • Passport
