Technician International Offshore and Onshore projects

Job Introduction

As the technician you will be part of the project team that is responsible for the preparation for projects that take place on onshore and offshore locations. Besides that, you will be part of the project team that goes to the project location to execute the project in a safe and efficient way.

Whilst prior experience is an advantage, full training will be given prior to undertaking operations.

Your future could follow a number of paths – you could be a Team Leader, Construction Manager or move over to other areas within our business, including R&D Engineer, Project engineer, Project Management or Sales

Role Responsibility

  • Lifting and rigging Operations
  • Rope Access work
  • Assembly work
  • Preparation of projects
  • Inspection of equipment
  • Notice abnormalities and report these to the Team Leader, Manager Construction or Project Manager. Identify and report unsafe situations, (near) accidents and incidents. Progress report daily
  • Adherence to agreements, rules, regulations and procedures of both Conbit as the customer.
    Participate in toolbox meetings
  • Execution of LMRA
 

The Ideal Candidate

QUALIFICATIONS

  ESSENTIAL

  • BOSIET
  • HUET
  • IRATA qualification
  • Certificate VCA-VOL

  DESIRABLE

  • Qualified Fork Lift operator
  • OPITO Rigger
  • Banksman

KNOWLEDGE  

  ESSENTIAL

  • Knowledge of tools, equipment
  • Standard industry health and safety requirements

  DESIRABLE

  • Knowledge of lifting methods, cables, winches and control methodologies.

EXPERIENCE

  ESSENTIAL

  • Work experience with mechanical equipment

  DESIRABLE

  • Experience in onshore and offshore projects
  • Work experience with hydraulic and/or electrical equipment

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  ESSENTIAL

  • Excellent oral and written English skills
  • Being a team player

  DESIRABLE

  • Excellent oral and written Dutch skills
  • Clear understanding of the relevant equipment and its use

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Being very flexible
