Tower Crane Technician

Job Introduction

·        ALE Heavylift (Australia) Pty Ltd are seeing a Tower Crane Technician to attend to tower crane service and maintenance on a wind farm construction sites. The position is offering a competitive salary and is based in Ballarat. ALE will provide accommodation or assist with relocation if necessary.

Role Responsibility

As a Tower Crane Technician your role will vary day to day, from servicing on electrical motors, relays, PLC's through to hydraulic fault finding and site work. However, the main duties will be:

·       Attend crane breakdowns on electrical and hydraulic components

·       Coding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)

·       Dismantle of hydraulic cylinders and electrical motors

·       Testing and commissioning of new cranes

·       Site installs

·       Oversight of maintenance programs and asset control/management

The Ideal Candidate

·       Experience within the crane industry

·       Appropriate trade qualifications

·       Experience with hydraulic lifting equipment

·       Electrical diagnosis and repair experience

·       Working at Heights

·       Drivers Licence

·       Full Working rights
